Sell Your Pre-Owned Motorcycle Gear

Turn your quality gear into cash or store credit—safely, fairly, and hassle-free.

Who we are: Riders Choice is Dubai’s home for retro-styled, modern-classic motorcycling—rentals, rides, and now curated pre-owned gear. We inspect, price, and promote your items online and in-store, so the right rider finds them fast.

How Consignment Works

  1. Submit & Drop-Off. Email photos or bring your clean, functional items to Riders Choice (no appointment needed, but booking helps). We’ll log each item.
  2. Inspection & Offer (1–3 business days). We authenticate, assess condition, research market value, and propose the tag price and your payout tier per item. You’ll receive a digital agreement to e-sign.
  3. We List & Promote. Accepted items are tagged, photographed, and featured in-store and online. 
  4. Payouts. When your item sells, we process payouts on a monthly cycle. Choose bank transfer or store credit (extra perk for store credit—see below).

What We Accept

Core Riding Gear

Leather/textile jackets, pants, vests, suits, gloves, boots, high-viz layers.

Lifestyle & Accessories

Quality leather goods (belts, wallets, bags), moto-inspired apparel that fits our aesthetic.

Helmets (Selective)

DOT/ECE certified, undamaged, new / like new, manufactured ≤ 2 years ago, original liners intact. We may decline at our team’s discretion.

Items We Don’t Accept (or Rarely)
  • Non-functional, torn, or excessively worn gear (broken zips, missing armor, holes).
  • Counterfeit or unverifiable branded items.
  • Heavily odorous items (smoke, mildew, strong perfumes), or with pet hair.
  • Loose motorcycle parts (space & warranty limitations).

Condition & Safety Standards

We only sell gear we’d confidently use ourselves. Please bring items cleaned, with working zips/fasteners, intact armor/padding, and no safety-compromising damage.

  • Function: Zippers, snaps, cuffs, vents, and adjustments must operate.
  • Structure: No torn seams, major scuffs through leather, or delaminated textiles.
  • Cleanliness: Freshly laundered/conditioned. We can offer cleaning/odor removal at cost if needed.
  • Helmets: Declined if crash-impacted, cracked, or past recommended service life.

Pricing, Markdowns & Payouts

How We Price

We balance your return with market demand: original RRP, current UAE market, brand, condition, age, and style relevance. You’ll see the proposed tag price and your payout tier on your consignment agreement.

Dutch-Style Markdown (for faster sales)

  • Month 0–1: 100% of tag price
  • Month 1–2: 90% of tag price
  • Month 2+: 80% of tag price (fixed thereafter)

Markdowns apply only with your signed consent in the agreement. Your payout is based on the final selling price.

Payout tiers help cover photography, listing, storage, sales support, packaging, payment processing, and marketing.

Payout Timing

We batch all consignor payouts once per month (bank transfer or store credit). If something sells close to month-end, it will land in the following cycle.

Drop-Off Checklist

  • Bring a valid photo ID (Emirates ID or passport).
  • Ensure items are clean, functional, and odor-free.
  • Include original armor, liners, and accessories if applicable.
  • For helmets: confirm cert (DOT/ECE) and manufacture date (≤ 2 years).
  • Share any brand/model info or receipts if handy—it can boost price & speed.

Unsold Items & Returns

We typically feature items for a minimum of 90 days. If an item hasn’t moved after reasonable time and agreed markdowns, we’ll contact you to (a) continue, (b) adjust, (c) collect, or (d) donate to charity on your instruction. If we can’t reach you within 30 days of notice, we may proceed per the signed consignment terms.

FAQs

How do you decide tag prices?

Brand, original RRP, condition, size, demand in the UAE, seasonality, and recent comparable sales. If you have a target price in mind, tell us—we’ll discuss before listing.

Is everything final sale?

Pre-owned/consignment items are final sale

Can I consign remotely?

Yes—email photos and details. If approved, you can ship to us (consignor covers shipping). We’ll confirm upon receipt and send the agreement to sign.

Do you accept race suits?

Selective acceptance based on condition, brand, and demand. Heavily worn suits are usually declined.

What happens if I disagree with the offer?

No pressure—decline any item. You’ll have 30 days to collect (or we can donate with your permission).

By consigning with Riders Choice, you agree to the terms in your digital consignment agreement, including payout schedule, markdown permissions, authenticity requirements, and safety standards. Policies may be updated to reflect best practices and UAE regulations.
